On Friday evening in Raymore the Rockets had their hands full with the Cupar Canucks. Elliot Hubick scored just 1:21 into the first period to give the Canucks the lead. The Rockets would then get two goals from Tyrell Shulko and a goal from Cody Mapes to go up 3-1 after one period. The Canucks would tie the game early in the second period as Brett Boha would score twice including once on the power play.

This past Tuesday evening Travis Bosch stopped 38 of 39 shots and Tyrell Shulko scored three times as the Raymore Rockets held on to second place with a 4-1 victory over the Lumsden Monarchs. Cody Mapes scored Raymore’s other goal on the power play in the second period that ended up being the winning goal. Jared Adams scored Lumsden’s lone goal on the power play in the second period. Will Hood stopped 40 of 44 shots in net for the Monarchs.

Cupar Canucks win first game of year…Showdown in Lumsden…Wynyard wins pair in Avonlea...The Cupar Canucks won their first game of the year with a 7-4 victory over the Strasbourg Maroons on Friday evening in Cupar.

Games from the last week in the Highway Hockey League....Last Tuesday evening the Bethune Bulldogs scored four times in the first period, three times in the second period and four times in the third period and defeated the Cupar Canucks 11-0. Kyle Ross scored four times, Lucas Ulmer and Russ Nielson both scored twice and Mike Reich, Barrett Nielson and Shea Van Luven also scored. Ryan Seibel picked up the shutout and Tanner Kehler was in net for the Canucks.

October 6th, 2015....The Highway Hockey League Fall Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 13th in Starsbourg at 7:00 p.m. The Agenda contains items that are required to be discussed prior to our 2015-16 season as per our Constitution, our 50th Anniversary plans and final scheduling.
