Submitted by Gerry on Sun, 05/13/2018 - 03:03
2013-2014 Schedule now posted. Pocket Schedules will be available November 12th
The Highway Hockey League will begin play on Friday, November 8th with the Strasbourg Maroons in Southey at 8 p.m. Also on the first weekend the Wynyard Monarchs will visit Bethune to play the Bulldogs on Saturday, November 9th at 8 p.m.
Our teams will once again be playing a 20 game schedule. All teams will make playoffs however this year we will play the first round as a best of three series. Semi-Finals and the Final will be best of five.
The final schedule will be up on our site this week. I will send out a tweet when that happens. Pocket Schedules will be available in early November.
An update on what to expect from our eight member teams will be found here on President’s Update prior to the start of the season.
Thank you to Gord MacMurchy for serving as our Commissioner. Gord is stepping down and Jay Holmes has been elected by the membership as our new Commissioner. Jay is the former GM and Coach of the Semans Wheat Kings. As per the HHL Constitution, the Commissioner's position is responsible for hearing and ruling on any appeals brought forth from any of the member teams on any rulings made by the League executive. The Commissioner also acts as an advisor to the executive when required. Thank you to Jay for accepting this position.
