Rockets one game away from eleventh HHL title....On Friday evening in Raymore the Rockets defeated the Lumsden Monarchs 5-3 and took a 2-1 lead in the best of five Robert Schultz Cup final. Similar to game two in Lumsden, the teams were tied 1-1 after one period. Tyrell Shulko scored on the power play for the Rockets and Kyle Johnson scored for the Monarchs with both goals coming late in the period. Early in the second period the Rockets scored three goals in 2 minutes and 19 seconds and took a 4-1 lead. Michael Jordan, Emery Anderson and Corey Kosloski scored the Raymore goals. Brody Luhning would score on the Lumsden power play later in the period and it was 4-2 and then Kosloski would get his second goal of the game late in the period and it was 5-2 for the Rockets going into the third period. In the third period the only goal was scored by Luhning late in the period and that made the final 5-3 for the Rockets. Dean Brothen stopped 31 shots and picked up the win in the Raymore net and Will Hood stopped 28 shots in the Lumsden net. Raymore was 1 for 4 on the powerplay and Lumsden was 1 for 3.
Game four of this series is tonight in Lumdsen at 8:30 p.m.
