President's Update - December 5th, 2016

There were two games in the Highway Hockey league on Friday evening. In Avonlea, the visiting Strasbourg Maroons were down early 1-0 but scored three goals in the first period and twice in the second period and held on to defeat the Arrows 5-4. The maroons got scoring from Tayler Balog and Tyson Orban and also scored three power play goals. Tanner Exner, Sean Delwo and Greg Ferguson with the game winning goal all scored on the power play. The Arrows scoring came from Mike Miller, Brett Kealey, James Dombowsky and Devin Cobbold.

President's Update - November 28th, 2016

The Bethune Bulldogs defeated the Strasbourg Maroons on Friday evening 8-2 in Strasbourg and defeated the Cupar Canucks 11-7 on Saturday evening to move to 4-0-0 and in a tie for first place with the Lumsden Monarchs who are at 4-1-0. In Strasbourg the Bulldogs were up 3-1 after the first and second periods and then scored five times in the third period. At home Saturday evening the Canucks had a 3-2 lead going into the second period getting goals from Matthew Boha, Devin Stecyk and Godric Tham. Russ Neilson scored twice for the Bulldogs in the first period.

President's Update - November 19th, 2017

The Streak is over.....The Bethune Bulldogs went 51 games....League, Provincials, Exhibition without losing a game.....their last loss was against Watrous in the first round of Provincials on January 29th, 2016 losing 3-2 in a game they actually led with less than three minutes to go. Their last league loss was to the Raymore Rockets on January 20th, 2016 by a score of 9-1.

President's Update - November 7th

The 2016-17 season began Friday evening in Lumsden. We had full rosters and we had a very entertaining game to begin the season. There was no scoring in the first ten minutes and then Cupar got into a little penalty trouble and the Monarchs scored three power play goals. Liam Brennan scored twice and Torrey Lindsey scored the other goal. Lumsden led 3-0 after one period and outshot the Canucks 15-5 in the first period. In the second period the play got a little tighter and there were few shots in the first 10 minutes.
