President's Update - March 7th, 2020

Defending Champions force a Game 5....Saturday evening in Lumsden the Lumsden Monarchs defeated the Raymore Rockets 8-3 to force a game five in Raymore Monday evening in Raymore at 8:00 p.m....The Rockets controlled play early in the game and capitalized on a power play, their fifth goal on thirteen power play opportunities in this series, on a goal from Tyler Mueller, The Monarchs would tie the game four minutes later on a goal from Carter Hansen.

President's Update - March 7th, 2020

Rockets one game away from eleventh HHL title....On Friday evening in Raymore the Rockets defeated the Lumsden Monarchs 5-3 and took a 2-1 lead in the best of five Robert Schultz Cup final. Similar to game two in Lumsden, the teams were tied 1-1 after one period. Tyrell Shulko scored on the power play for the Rockets and Kyle Johnson scored for the Monarchs with both goals coming late in the period. Early in the second period the Rockets scored three goals in 2 minutes and 19 seconds and took a 4-1 lead.

President's Update - March 3rd, 2020

Rockets with OT win in Raymore and Monarchs with OT win in Lumsden head for game three in Robert Schultz Cup Final Friday at 8:00 p.m. in Raymore.  On Sunday afternoon in Raymore, Josh Jordan scored 3:37 into overtime to give the hometown Rockets a 7-6 victory over the Lumsden Monarchs. The Monarchs scored the only goal of the first period off the stick of Liam Brennan. The Monarchs would get goals from Kyle Johnson and Brody Luhning to take a 3-0 lead in the second before Ryley Storzuk would get the Rockets on the board with a shorthanded goal.

President's Update - February 23rd, 2020

For the second year in a row the Lumsden Monarchs and the Raymore Rockets will meet in the Robert Schultz Cup HHL Final. The Monarchs swept the Bethune Bulldogs three games to none. The clinching game was played on Thursday evening and it was an excellent game. Torrey Lindsay scored three goals and had one assist to lead the Monarchs to a 4-3 double overtime win. This certainly was not easy for the Monarchs to score as Ryan Holfeld faced 69 shots in the Bethune net and was just outstanding.

President's Update - February 19th, 2020

Monarchs and Rockets each win first two games of semi-final series...The Lumsden Monarchs defeated the Bethune Bulldogs 10-4 at home and then defeated the Bulldogs 6-2 in Bethune on Tuesday evening to take a 2-0 lead in the best of five semi-final. Game three is in Lumsden on Thursday evening. The Raymore Rockets defeated the Southey Marlins 7-6 in overtime in Raymore and then defeated the Marlins 7-2 in Southey last Wednesday evening to take a 2-0 lead in their series. Game three is Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Raymore.

President's Update - February 8th, 2020

Playoffs begin Sunday/ Congratulations to our Tyson Sievert HHL Scoring Champion Trophy winner and the Gunnar Lindal Memorial Trophy for Team Goaltending winners....

The Bethune Bulldogs and Lumsden Monarchs begin their best of five semi-final Sunday evening in Lumsden at 6 p.m. The other semi-final will see the Southey Marlins vist the Raymore Rockets on Monday evening at 8 p.m. Game two of this series will be Wednesday evening in Southey.

Bethune @ Lumsden Sunday, February 9th 6:00 p.m.

Southey @ Raymore Monday, February 10th 8 p.m.

President's Update - January 21st, 2020

The Southey Marlins picked up two wins this past weekend with wins over the Strasbourg Maroons and the Balgonie Bison. On Friday evening in Strasbourg the Marlins came back from a 3-0 deficit scoring four times in the second period and four more times in the third period to pull out an 8-4 victory. Mason Mullaney led the way with four goals. Pat Thompson-Gale scored twice and Rhett Sandercock and Trey Lefebre also scored. Mike Arnold had a natural hat trick to get the Maroons up 3-0 and Bryton Beattie also scored for the Maroons.
