President's Update - March 7th, 2016

Bethune Bulldogs on a mission…The Bulldog train keeps rolling down the track. The defending HHL champions and Provincial ‘A’ finalists from 2014-15 lost their first Provincial game in January to Watrous and since then have reeled off nine consecutive wins in Provincials and league playoffs.

President's Update - February 22nd, 2016

Wynyard Monarchs and Lumsden Monarchs advance to semi-finals…It took three overtime games and the Wynyard Monarchs would defeat the Avonlea Arrows 2-1 in their first round series.

President's Update - February 15th, 2016

Regular Season over….The Avonlea Arrows defeated the Strasbourg Maroons in the last regular season game of the year 6-1 and clinched fifth place. The Arrows got two goals from both Dayton Picard and Kyle Oleniuk. Picard’s second goal was shorthanded and he ended up leading the league this year with three shorthanded goals. James Dombowsky and Kristian Brook also scored for the Arrows.

President's Update - February 8th, 2016

Bulldogs clinch first place….The Bethune Bulldogs have clinched first place with two victories over the Lumsden Monarchs this past week. On Tuesday evening in Lumsden they defeated the Monarchs 10-4 and on Saturday evening in Bethune won 9-4. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 15-1-2 record and have a bye into the semi-finals.

President's Update - February 1st, 2016

There were only four games this past week in the HHL. Last Wednesday evening the Bethune Bulldogs added to their first place lead in the standings with a 6-1 victory over the Avonlea Arrows in Bethune.  Jake Ulmer scored the first four goals of the game for the Bulldogs that included two power play goals. Shea Van Luven would score the final two goals. Kyle Oleniuk scored for the Arrows.

President's Update - January 25th, 2016

Bethune continues to lead HHL standings with Raymore and Lumsden close behind…the Bethune Bulldogs (12-1-2) lost their first game in regulation this season to the Raymore Rockets last Wednesday evening in Raymore 9-1 but bounced back with an 8-2 victory over the Cupar Canucks in Cupar on Friday evening.

President's Update - January 18th, 2016

Rockets win two on the weekend….The Raymore Rockets defeated the Wynyard Monarchs 9-6 at home on Friday evening and then defeated the Avonlea Arrows in Avonlea on Saturday evening 4-2 to get to within three points of the first place Bethune Bulldogs.

President's Update - January 11th, 2016

The HHL was back in action this past Wednesday evening as the Raymore Rockets were in Bethune to play the first place Bulldogs. Mike Reich scored on the power play late in the first and then got his second goal of the evening early in the second period. Paul Alber’s would score the third Bulldog goal and half way through the game it was 3-0 for the Bulldogs.
